MINERS FAVOUR CONFERENCE APPEAL FOR FUNDS. Sydney, May 28. A number of miners' lodges have endorsed the request of the Colonial Secretary to arrange a conference. Ifc ia understood that the miners' secretary has received a communication from the Premier to the effect that it is impossible to arbitrate under the present condition of affairs. The Board of Delegates has cabled to the president of the English Labor Federation asking assistance for the strike fund. The first strike pay of Gs per man was distributed.
