CHARGES OF CONSPIRACY.

THE CASES FALL THROUGH. Melbourne, May 27. As a result of the researches of the Lormer Board of Inquiry, Rappiport and Baxter, ex -J.P.'s, were charged before tho Chief Justice with conspiring to defeat the ends of justice in connection with the case o£ Boulter, hotelkeeper, charged with Sunday trading. On the appearance of Boulter and hi 3 wife to give evidence, the Chief Justice warned them that they might be included in the charge of conspiracy and their evidence used against them. They consequently refused to give evidence, and as there were no further witnesses forthcoming, tho defendants were accordingly discharged.
