London, May 11. There was a large attendance to witness the second day's play. The wicket was in splendid condition. The Australians, with five wickets down for 241, continued their innings, but the remainder of the team (Eady, Kelly, Jones, and M'Kibbin) only contributed 13 to the score. Trott was caught at 43 and Hill suffered the same fate when he had made 32. The innings closed for 257. Mold was the most successful bowler, taking four wickets for 52.
