SECOND DAY. The Park Club are favoured with better weather to-day, and the attendance is very fair. The course is in gootl order. The City I'and are again enlivening the proceedings. For the Second Trial Hurdles nine horses faced the starter, the winner again turning up in Mr Quinlivan's gelding, who managed to ran home with apparent ease. Ten horses saddled up for the Winter Oats, which proved a splendid tussle, the judge being unable to separate Panoply and Moonraker at the finish, Solitaire being close handy. From a good start Rangipunehu lead tht field over the first jump attended by Chris. Capon Rouge, Lord Haven and Prairie Grass, in the order named, with Scrap Iron II lying last. A good race home was won easily by Rangipuuehu. Tenby repeated yesterday's performance, falling at the last hurdle. The rider (Watts) had his collarbone broken. Time, 3inin ssecs. Dividend. £$ 2s. Solitaire, Moonraker, and Heavenly Twin led into the straight. After a big run Panoply came with a fast rush and caught Moonraker on the post. Time, lmin 33sec. Divs., £8 10s. each.

A good start *ent Morag over the first hurdle closely followed by Timothy, Hopeful, and Hilda 11. The latter fell at' the sod wall in the straight, and Hopeful got stuck at the double in front of the stand. He proceeded 011, but baulked at the gorse fence. Morag here had a good lead from Timothy, with Tiritea lest. Timothy caught Morag at the sod wall, and on entering the straight a great race home ensued, Mr Williams' gvlding winning by a length, Tiritea a hundred yards away. Time fmiin "> I sees. Loughnan's g g Glengarry, aged, 12st 121b ... ... 1 liepo and Forty Winks also started. Hailstone and Lighthouse were scratched. liepo fell at the first jump. Forty Wink's baulked several times. Ac-one, Marino, The Artist and Allan-a-dale were scratched. Panoply wont to the front and maintained that position until entering the straight. A great race home all the horses being in a bunch.
