MAORI « OATS " MEETING,
The following are the results of the various races run at Omahu yesterday in connection with the above : Maiden Hurdles, 1 mile—Baritone, 1. Two others started. Betting— Even money on winner.
Maiden Flat, 1J miles—Tomarangi, 1. Six others started. Betting, Bto 1 against the winner.
Omahu Handicap, lh miles—Gold Carp, 1. Won on the post after a splendid race with Velocity. Four others started. Betting, 4to 1 against the winner.
Ngaru Stakes, G furlongs—Erena, 1. Sixteen others started. Won easily. Betting, 4 to 1 against the winner. Handicap Hurdles, H miles—Velocity won after a good finish with Hailstone. Two others started, but fell. Betting, 2 to 1 against the winner.
Kohitaewa Handicap, 7 furlongs— Tomarangi, 1. Six others started. Won easily. Betting, 0 to 4 against the winner. Consolation, 1 mile—Scrap Iron 11., 1. Three others started. A gift to the winner. Betting, 6 to 4 on the winner.
