HERETAUNGA SCHOOL SPORTS.
These sports were concluded yesterday afternoon, having been postponed from Monday 011 account of the inclement weather. A much larger attendance assembled to witness the finals than was the case on Saturday last. The finishes generally were close, and the races were got off with despatch. Afternoon tea was served round at the close of the sports, and Mrs Fraser subsequently presented the prizes to the winners. 11. Fraser now holds the senior cup and R. (i. Ralston the junior. Mr C. A. Fitzßoy (Mayor of Hastings) complimented the school on the very successful sports, and said it was very encouraging to the lads that such a number of people were present. He trusted the sports would continue to be carried on in the same spirit, and as successfully. The following are the results : Senior Cup, 100 yards.—Fraser, 1 ; White, 2. Time, Usee.

Junior Cup High Jump.—Ralston (iftt, 1 ; Brathwaite, 2. 120 Yards Hurdles. —White, 1 ; Potts, 2. Time, Usee.
Junior Cup, 140 yards (final). — Fleming, 1: Ralston, 2.
Senior Cup High Jump.—White, (4ft sin}. 1 : Fraser, 2. Junior Cup, 100 yards (final).— Ralston. 1 ; Rainbow, 2. Time, 12 J}-sth sec.
Old Boys' Race, 220 yards handicap—O. Nelson, 1 ; X. Well wood and E. Pavies (dead heat), 2. Time, 87sec.
