A robbible tale comes from Rome. For some past a number of persons have been missing, and until a few days ago the mystery of their disappearance could not be solved though the utmost was done by the local authorities and the Vigilante to obtain a clue, A few days ago an artisan was invited by Antonie Gazzi, a pork butcher, to come into his house and have dinner with him. He at length became drunk, but not as drunk as the pork butcher imagined, and when Antonio attempted to strangle his guest, the guest made a desperate resistance and escaped into the street. He

instantly informed a member of the Vigilante who was near, what had happened, and the pork butcher and his wife were immediately arrested. When examined in prison the woman made a confession of how they had at different limes decoyed ten persons into their house and made them drunk. As soon as the victims were properly drunk the husband would strangle them, and as soon as they were dead he would bleed them and make black puddings of their blood, and destroy the bodies with quicklime in a cellar under the house.
