The House is setting hard to work to get through by Christmis, and an enormous pressure is baing put on. Nothing important is being done just now. Mr Lawry has given notice to ask if the Government will use every endeavour this session to rompl’te the titles of those persona Who have legitimate claims to native lands ; and ara tha Government aware that in consequence of the pressnt insecurity of these pirsons whose o’aims to native lands is beiieved to be indisputable, settlement of the .and is retarded, and also that those who have 1 .rge sums of money available for the purpose of improving those lands are afraid to use such money for the purpose indicated.
