A Project worth Noting.
Wb have received a circul ir from the Secretary of the New South Wales Agricultural Society, inviting our assistance and co-opera-tion in ihe great Centennial Exhibition to be held in Sydney in January next, and as the Exhibition should ba of interest to those in an agricultural district like ours, there is pleasure in referring to the subject. The Exhibition is to include an industrial and products display and a live stock show, and n all it is proposed to devote between £4,000 and £5,000 in prizes. The aim of the Counoil of the Society is “ to bring together upon this occasion evidences of progress achieved by the Australasian Grouj) during the hundred years that have elapsed since Captain Cook first set foot on those sjiores.’’ The Secretary of the Society (Mr F. Webster, Tattersail’s Chambers, Hunter street, Sydney) has promised to send us copies of the prize schedule, and if any of our settlers desire further information there is no doubt it can easily be procured. The project is worthy of consideration.
