A Timarn telegram says“ At a meeting of tbs stewards of the B.C.J.C. last week 3, Butharford end the man Princess Royal wen disqualified for life, and the brothers Hugh and Maloolm Kerr faring the pleasure of the Glob. The evidence was of a startling and conclusive character. Princess Royal was run ander the name of Miss Arundel, bat suspicion being raised the owner was communicated with, and he said Princess Royal was dead, and if occasion demanded it be could show the Stewards the body. Although npeated application was made that this course should be adopted, Mr Rutherford failed to make good his proposal. On a witness, who knew Princess Royal, going to view Miss Arundel the groom said the horse had been taken away. In moving the motion for disqualification the Chairman made some very strong cqpments on Mr Rutherford’s conduct. The affair has caosed considerable sensation, as Mr Rutherford has been long and honourable connected with the turf.
