Chbistohubcii, last night, The following acceptances wore received for the New Zealand Cup on Saturday night Nelson, Artillery, Loohiel, Torrent, ‘Hermitage, Maxim, Sextant, Moana, St Clair, Gipsy King, Crutchfield, and Beresford, For the Derby Gipsy King, Sextant, Maxim, Crutchfield were nominated. It is expected that only ten will start, and if this is so it will be the smallest field that ever started for the event, In 1883 there were 12 starters, 15 in 1884,16 in 1885, and 14 last year.
Drake is said to have won £3400 by the victory of Pasha in the Yan Yean Stakes.
