VICTORIAN RACING. BETTING AND TRAINING NOTES. MORE BLACKGUARDISM. MEbncuaNi, yesterday. On Saturday morning Spade Guinea did a mile in splendid style. Pasha and Mirella both went well for a mile and a-half, tha former finishing strongly. As a oonseq lence of the grand style in which Siivermine accomplished his last gallop he has been heavily backed for the Cup at 100 lo 20 taken. For the Derby 100 to 20 is offered, and 100 to 15 taken, about Trenton. Aberoorn is still at evens. J. G. Thompson, the well-known book maker, is standing Tranter for the Derby. The weather continues favourable for training purposes, and a large number of horse* were out this morning. Silver Prince and Enfilade did two mil** and a-half strong, and Thunderbolt did half paca work. Abercoro, Trident, Algerian, Keith, and Australian I’eer cantered for a abort distance and then spurted. Tranter went two miles at a moderate pace on th* tan. Nothing important has been done at Can!field. Oxenham Byden, the leviathan bookmaker, and his trainer have been summoned before l he Mooree Valley stewards in reference to a charge of “ pulling " Toronto in the Selling Race on Saturday, for which the jockey «k* disqualified for two yedrs.
