LATEST BETTING FOB CAULFIELD CUP, MrLBOVHNE, Oct. 12 The following are the latest quotations for the Caulfield Cup Volcano 100 to 20 tkn, Silver Mine 7 to 1 tkn. Oakleigh 100 to 10 tkn, Lava 100 to 8 tkn. Fhaon being backed for small sums at 100 to 5. Very little business fa doing in the betting market. TRAINING NOTES. The weather this morning for training purposes was all that could be desired but though a large number of horses were out very little work of any importance was done. Silver Prince, Thunderbolt, Enfilade, Lava, Escutcheon, were only given moderate exercise. Volcano was sent over Caulfield Cup distance. He moved very well and finished strong. Aberoorn, Trident, and Dunlop were treated to a good exercise gallop, all finishing well, Pasha and Spade Guinea fa company put in a strong gallop. Drake, Rocker, Mirella and Teddy Yuille have been doing good work. Silver Mine did a splendid performance over one mile and a half.
