THE PANAMA CANAL, M. DeLesseps reports that the Panama canal will bo navigable in three years froni now and will afterwards be wid- tied and deepened, ADVANCE OF COLONIAL STOCKS. The Economist states that th e criticisms on colonial loans have had a distinctly beneficial eSect. '1 he loans floated this year 'amounted to eight millions as against fourteen and a-half millions in 1886. The result of such a re-aetion is that colonial stocks have rapidly risen. STANLEY ON HIS WAY, The tribes at STgaudra became greatly excited on the approach of H. M, Stanley and his followers, ANTIMONY COMPANY FLOATED. The New Zealand Antimony Company has been floated.
