The Premier when speaking at Napier the other night, devoted a large proportion of his speech to the education system of the colony. In the Course of his speech he quoted the figures which we print below, and the consideration of which we recommend to the electors “ There is a great misconception about the cost of education in New Zealand. It is, counting cost of buildings and everything, the cheapest system in the Australasian colonies. Here is the cost per head of the children in each colony ;
