The Building Society.
The thirteenth annual meeting of the Gia* borne Building Society took place in Porter's Hall last night, Mr Townley occupying the chair.
The report and balance-sheet (which were very favorable to the Society's work) were read, discussed, and unanimously adopted, Messrs Townley, Lawrence, and G. B. Moore were re-elected Directors, and Mr H. McKay Shareholders’ Auditor. On the motion of Mr Finn a hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the Chairman and Board of Directors. A bonus of seven guineas was voted to the Secretary. At a subsequent meeting of the Board of Directors, Mr Townley was re-elected Chairman, and Mr C. P. Davies Directors’ Auditor.
