A SCRIMMAGE ALL ROUND. HOW THEY PLAY THE GAME AT MASTERTON. [Peb Naw Ze?land Pbbss Aoencx.] Mastebton, last night. An exciting football match between European youths and able-bodied Maoris took place on Saturday, over the final heat of the junior cup match. The European light weights played a grand game, exciting admiration. The Maoris, depending on superior strength, played a very rough game, and blood was drawn pretty freely. Several minutes before the close ot the game one of the white boys, running with the ball, was caught by a gigantic native who flung him on the ground and knocked him about like a football. Several players interfered, and blows were freely exchanged. The game terminated in a free fight, neither side scoring except on their features. Later on an altercation arose between a couple of the respective players, when they fought their battles over again, tradesmen, Maoris and women joining in the fistic war. No serious damage was done, each side claiming the victory,
