Says the Wairoa Guardian : At the R.M. Court yesterday before Mr J. T. Largs, J. P., a native named Ngamu, who had been arrested at the Mahia by Constable Shaw, on the 2rd inst., was brought up, charged with stealing a horse of the value of fifteen pound, the property of Mr P. Donner, of Pouparae, Poverty Bay, from the latter place. On the application of Constable Shaw the accused was remanded for eight day? to Gisborne, to be brought up ot the R.M. Court at that place on Thursday, the 14th inst. A familiar Parisian feature will shortly disappear. The Cafe de la Rotonde, in the Palias Royal Gardens, which abounds with historical associations, is to be pulled down, a r ter having been shut for some months.
