A CLEVER MOVE. [To the Editor.] Sir, —Your friends down the street are much exercised in mind about Mr McDonald’s appointment to the Harbour Board. They seem to imply that Mr McDonald has worked a political “ point ”in his own favor. Now, I don’t believe anything of the kind. I believe the real puller of the strings to put Mr McDonald in the place of Mr Graham was none other than Mr S. Locke who thinks that Mac will now be opposed by all the Harbour Board Ring. Sammy is very sly, and his latest move is particularly cute.—Yours truly, Veritas.
