The Gisborne Standard AND COOK COUNTY GAZETTE. Published every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday Morning.
Thursday, June 23, 1887. OURSELVES.
Be just and fear not; Let all the ends thou aiiu’st at be thy country’s, Thy God’s, and truth’s.
We have a very big paper this morning, and we trust our readers will give Us credit for our exertions, A large amount of interesting matter is unfortunately held over, for despite all efforts we find it impossible to cram fifteen columns into ten. The Standard is now looked for by all, and read by all—a fact which advertisers should duly note, N.B.—An advertisement in a paper which is read is worth ten in a paper which is merely and literally a “ waste ” paper ! Read the Standard, show it to your friends, and help us in our venture.
