HOSPITAL BOARD.

A mbbtisg of the Hospital Trustees was held last night. Present: Messrs Lucas, (Chairman), Agnew Brown, E. K. Brown, Nolan, Dunlop, Captain Tucker, the Revs. Fox and McAra, and Mr McKay (Secretary), Tue minutes of the previous meeting wen read and confirmed. The report of the Visiting Committee for the month was read and confirmed, A long discussion took place on the Rev. MoAra’e motion that the application of Dr, Pollen for a £5O increase of salary be granted, After considerable talk on the matter it was decided by four votes to three that the application ba not granted, Messrs Nolan and Dunlop did not vote. It being reported that the roofing of the Hospital was leaky and in bad repair it was decided to call for tenders at once, so that the necessary repairs be effected. The Secretary was instructed to write to Mr Bull conveying the thanks of the Trustees for his kind offer of shrubs for the Hospital grounds, and accepting the same. Several accounts were passed for payment, and other routine business transacted, and the meeting adjourned,
