Visiting Professionals at Timaru

P.A. TIMARU, Nov. 23. Tennis of a brand which has made them famous was produced at. times by Jack Kramer, R. L. Riggs, Dennis Pails and Pancho Segura, the visiting professionals, when they played at Timaru to-day. It was in a doubles exhibition that they rose to _ the international standard. Their singles matches lacked punch, but they were a lesson to the younger players in footwork, in stroke making; and in ball control. Kramer was the undoubted star of the party, but Riggs had a day off. Pails impressed with his brilliant long court work, and Segura was outstanding in the doubles match. Results were:— Pails beat Segura 6/2, 6/3. Kramer beat Riggs 6/1, 6/2. Kramer and Segura beat Riggs and Pails 6/4, 5/7. 6/2
