Bush Fire Damage In Northern N.S.W.

SYDNEY, November 16. Bush fires are raging in northern New South Wales, near the Queensland border, and a woman and two children are feared to have perished in a fire burning on a nine-mile front near Brewarrina. Over 30,000 acres of bush have been swept, and much livestock and homestead property is known to have been destroyed a a fire advancing near Weewaa. Fire-fighters are trying to break through to the area where the woman and children are thought to have perished. All telephone lines in the area have been destroyed.
