At the annual meeting of the above M. o. a. Lowe (president) was in the chair and there weer also present Messrs H. Palmer, ivi. Durxin, c. w. Garvey, L. Menzies, A. Fox Jnr., A. Mairs,' M. Mclntyre, J. Hay-MacKen-z.c, j. waisn, K. Powell, W. Currie, A. O’Neil, Ralp Lowe, Kevin Lowe, H. N. Archer, and J. Radford. Apologies for non-attendance were received from Messrs M. O’Dea, C. Mitchell, M. Davies, W. Casey, C. Lemon, and John Menzies. The annual report was adopted and the balance sheet received and held over for the treasurer’s comments. Ths election of officers resulted as Ritows:—Patron. Mr L. Menzies; president, Air Harold Bennett; vice-pre-mems, Messrs M. O’Dea and A. Fox jnr.; treasurer, Mr M. O’Dea; auditor. Mr P. A. Struthers, secretary, Air J Radford. Committees were appointed. It was decided that the schedule be reviewed by the horse, cattle and home industries committee on Tuesday next and that their recommendations be considered on the following Tuesday Messrs Kevin Lowe and Edward Walsh were elected members and appointed to the Horse Committee. A donation of £2 2s to the Dr Foote Appreciation Fund was passed for payment. Messrs Bennett, Palmers, Durkin and Menzies were appointed to confer with the Racing Club’s Grounds Committee in connection with a renewal of the lease of the show grounds. Airs Enright submitted a cup for competition for the junior sporting events on People’s Day. The secretary was instructed to inform Mrs Enright that the committee is pleased with "the trophy and to confer with her in regard to a suitable inscription. Murchison Association advised that their show would be held on February 12 and hoped that the Buller show would be at a date approximate thereto so that visiting competitors in the horse events could attend both.
