Third World War a Real Risk is Canadian View

(Rec. 10.10) OTTAWA, Nov. 12 "We have to admit that the United Nations has not succeeded in banishing the threat of a third world war,” stated the Acting Prime Minister of Canada, Rt. Hon. Louis St Laurent, here to-night. “While war is not inevitable, anyone who considers that it is an impossibility must be lacking in the most elementary realism.” Mr St Laurent said that the most certain and practical approach to Canada's security lay in an alliance of the North Atlantic nations.
