2oz. Butter Ration Increase Suggested by Opposition Leader

P A. WELLINGTON, Nov. 12. The Leader of'the Opposition, Mr S.G. Holland spoke at a meeting in Masterton to-night of Wairarapa farmers. Fie said: “I agree that until the supply of fats to Britain has unproved it would be unwise to abandon the butter rationing in New Zealand. After all, our sacrifice is nothing compared with what Britain sacrificed for us. However, I believe that the increase in production in New Zealand more than justifies an increase in the butter ration to the old rate of half a pound.”
