Margarine is selling in the U.S. for about 48 cents a pound. Would likely cost more in Canada. Incidentally, margarine and oleo-margarine are somewhat different. Former is a straight vegetable oil compound, latter contains animal fat in addition. Oils used are coconut, cottonseed, peanut, soya bean —none produced in Canada to any extent.
