GROCERS WANT BUTTER UNRATIONED

WELLINGTON, October 13. Strong exception to the Government’s action in retaining the rationing of butter was taken at a meeting last night of the Wellington Master Grocers’ Association, according to a statement issued by the association to-day. While members would favour any action which would help the people of Britain, it was felt that continuance of the rationing of butter did not achieve that end, said the statement. It added that under the circumstances, it appeared that the Government was. maintaining an expensive rationing qrganisation, serving no useful purpose and the grocers, therefore, felt they were shouldering an unnecessary burden.
