Heavy rain experienced in Greymouth yesterday was also recorded in the country districts, and last evening the Grey River was in moderate flood conditions. For the 24 hours to 9 p.m. the fall registered at Karoro was 1.60 inches, but the fall is reported to have been considerably heavier in the country. Last evening, mild conditions, with an absence of wind and rain, prevailed in Greymouth. -
