SPAIN WOULD FIGHT IF RUSSIANS WENT BEYOND BERLIN
(Rec. 10.30) LONDON, Oct. 12 Spain would fight an enemy which attacked neighbouring countries, despite any ideological differences which those countries might have with Spain, said General Franco, addressing high garrison officers at Seville. “If the Communist hordes advance beyond Berlin, 1.000.000 Spaniards must fight,” he said. General Franco emphasied that he had made the remark about Communists advancing beyond Berlin before. “‘Those words were unheeded by the world which was not conscious of a new enemy.
