More Polio Cases in Auckland

P.A. AUCKLAND, October 12. The infantile paralysis epidemic continues in the Central Auckland Health District, another positive case .being reported to-day. The patient is a girl aged 11 from Avondale, who was admitted to the Auckland Hospital last Thursday as a suspect. Andthei* suspect case, a boy from Mount Albert, has been diagnosed as negative. Forty-eight positive cases and two suspects were in the hospital to-night.

NE(W POLIO CASE IN BLENHEIM BLENHEIM, Oct. 12. The fourth case of poliomyelitis in Blenheim and the ninth in Marlborough was notified last night. The patient is an eight-year-old boy. One case of poliomyelitis, an 18-months-old baby boy, was reported in Wellington to-day.' Since the epidemic began last October there have been 225 cases in the Wellington health district.
