Model By-Laws For County Councils

Approval for a proposal that a set of model by-laws suitable for county councils should be drawn up by the New Zealand Standards Institute was given at the meeting of county clerks and engineers of Ward four, held in Marton. The counties of Rangitikei, Manawatu, Waimarino, Kiwitea, Kairanga, Wanganui, Pohangina, Horowhenua and Waitotara were represented.

A resolution was passed stating it was desirable to constitute an executive of officers of county councils as a standing committee to consider from time to time developments regarding production of model by-laws by the Standards Institute and report thereon on ward meetings.
