SPREAD OF WAR IN CHINA
SHANGHAI, Oct. 9. The Chinese civil war spread to two new sectors in the past 24 hours when the Nationalist armies in South Jehol launched an eastward drive in the direction of the Manchurian corridor and Communist forces in East Shensi began a southward rush.
