The Greymouth Workingmen’s Club tit a general meeting yesterday decided to purchase Hallenstein Eros, building, Mawhera Quay, for the’ purpose of new club-rooms. The rooms will replace the club gutted by tire last July. The price to be paid is £4OOO. It is expected that now club rooms will be ready for occupation before Christmas. An amusing sequel to the Government’s close call in the division on the Harbours Amendment Bill last week was the prompt installation of an extra division bell outside the room where it is whispered three Government members were engrossed in a wrestling broadcast, b'issfullv oblivious to the shrilling bells ' further down the passage.
