Czech Anti-Communist To Stay at U.N. Assembly
PARIS, October 7.
The United Nations Budgetary Committee defeated by 25 votes to six with 12 abstentions, a Czechoslovakian motion to oust Dr. Jan Papanek, who is an anti-Communist, from the posts he still holds on two United Nations committees. Only the Soviet bloc voted tor the Czech resolution. Dr Papanek was permenent representative of Czechoslovakia to the Unietd Nations before the overthrow of the non-Communist Government. The new Czechoslovakian representative argued that Dr. Papanek was wanted at home on embezzlement charges.
