Woman Seriously Injured in Crash

CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 7. When a car and a taxi collided at the intersection of Graham and Burnside roads at 12.25 p.m. yesterday, a passenger in the car, Miss .Kathleen Greenslade, was seriously injured. Miss Greenslade, who lives at Mayfield, was being driven to Harewood aerodrome, where she was to have caught an aeroplane, by Mi’ B. B. Bowden, of 143 Havelock Street Ashburton. In the collision both Mr Bowden’s car and the taxi, which was driven by Mr Donald L. Campbell, were fairly extensively damaged. Mr Bowden and Miss Greenslade were taken to Christchurch Fublic Hospital by St. John Ambulance. Mr Bowden is suffering from concussion and was reported to be in a satisfactory condition last night. Miss Greenslade was operated on, having suffered head injuries, and early this morning was still on the seriously ill list.
