Loi’d Bruce, a former Australian Prime Minister, told the Stoke-on-Trent Chamber of Commerce that the conference of Commonwealth and Empire leaders in London next week must shed many long-held inhibitions and some of the Dominions would have to get rid of their inferiority complexes. He added that the British nations together were greater in resources nnd manpower than Russia or America and incomparably greater get down to the problem of creating new wealth by developing the resources of less advanced countries, we will be sunk,” he added.
