GOLF WAITAHU LADIES GOLF CLUB

The L.G.U. and Medal match to be played on Saturday, October 9, has been drawn as follows: — Miss J. Williams, Mesdames Lyng, August and Lockington;. Miss King, Mesdames Yellowlees, Duff and Dobson; Miss O’Grady, Mesdames Archer, Patterson and Crossman; Mesdames Sharpe, Wills and Malcolm; Mesdames Eklund, iMffier and Strachan.

Intermediate. — Miss Ross, Miss Campbell, Mesdames Bisset and Marshall; Miss Archer, Mesdames Campbell, Blackmore ana Roberts; Mes dames McLennan, Reichenbach and Gilsennan; Mesdames Cutbush, Robertson and Sharpe jnr.; Mesdames Panckhurst, McDonald and Miss O’Flaherty. In the semi-finals of the championships and flights played last week the results were:—

Senior championship.—Mrs Crossman beat Mrs Sharpe; Miss King beat Mrs Eklund.

Senior flight.—Mrs Patterson beat Mrs Dobson; Mrs Lyng beat Miss Williams.

Intermediate championship.—Mrs Reichbenbach beat Mrs Bisset; Mrs Marshall beat Mrs Blackmore.

Junior Flight.—Mrs Robertson beat Mrs McDonald; Mrs Panckhurst won bv default from Mrs Cutbush.

All finals of championships and flights are to be played on Saturday, October IG, commencing at 1.30 p.m. Recent reductions in handicaps are:—

.Mrs Eklund 22—19 90/22/68; Mrs A. Archer 28—22 94/28/66; Mr?. Duff 29—24 96/29/67; Mrs Lyng 20—27.99/30/69.

Players are advised that if the ball lies near the two fences at Riverside hole or the fence at Hedge, they are allowed to lift and drop three club lengths away from the fence, no nearer the hole.
