Russian Paper Alleges Western Union Plans Aggression
(Rec. 9.55). LONDON, October 6. The correspondent of the Associated Press at Moscow says that following on the meeting on Monday at Paris of the War Ministers of Britain, France. Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg, there was a reference in the Russian weekly newspaper, “New Times”, under the heading: “Again Guns Instead of Butter”. The “New Times” said: Western newspapers did not even conceal the fact that “the War Ministers of five Marshalled countries have been working out, under the observation of the American, General Kiebler, plans for the creation of armed forces for aggression against the Soviet Union. An atmosphere of anti-Soviet hysteria is being artifically built up in Western Europe to compel Western Bloc countries to consent to feverish preparations for a new war, dictated from the other side of the ocean”. The newspaper, “New Times also alleges that Allied authorities in the Western sectors of Berlin were taking houses from “any persons caught buying food in the Russian sector .
