Oil In Transvaal
(Received October 6, 10.C1 p.m.) LONDON, October 6. The South African Government intends to grant a license to the Anglo-Transvaal Consolidated’ Investment Company to establish a fifteen million sterling oil and coal industry in the Vereeniging district on the Vaal River, says the Associated Press Johannesburg correspondent. It is hoped to reach an annual output of sixty million gallons of petrol and nine millions of diesel fuel within three years.
