INDOOR BASKETBALL N.Z. May Invite Olympic Athletes

WELLINGTON, October 5, The secretary of the N.Z.A.A.A., Mr J, W. Holley, commenting on the possibility of the Olympic champions, Dillard (United States) and Wint (Jamaica) coming to New Zealand after their Australian visit next year, said his association was fully alive to the value of such a visit, and the matter would be discussed by the association tonight. Mr Holley mentioned that with the Australian tour from February 15 to March 3, the New Zealand womens and jjunior championships on March 5 and the senior national championships in the following week the season was already heavily booked at the time when Wint and Dillard would be free to come over from Australia.
