More North Island Schools Closed With Polio Cases

WELLINGTON, Oct. 5.

A new case, a boy of three, of Lower Hutt, was admitted to hospital to-day. The Waddington school was closed yesterday for a fortnight as a pupil was admitted to hospital during the week-end. One further case of poliomyelitis a six-year-old Petone boy, was reported to-day. The school he was attending has been closed following his admission to hospital. With the one hundred and thirtythird positive poliomyelitis case in the Waikato district, a pupil of the Forest Lake School, this school has been closed until October 14. NO NEW WEST COAST CASES Grey River Hospital authorities yesterday stated that there was no new suspected case of poliomyelitis in hospital. There are now three mild cases in the hospital.
