Burmese Government Imposes Censorship

RANGOON, Sept 27 The Burmese Government has :m--posed a censorship on all outgoing foreign press telegrams. A gun battle between Burmese police and 100 Dacoits attacking Dalia, a small and maimy Indian village over the river from Rangoon last night, lasted 30 minutes. The Dacoits stole jewellery and cash of an estimated value of 13750 before they were dispersed.

Rebel action again interrupted railway travel between Rangoon, and Mandelay. Rebels destroyed a railwav bridge near Pyinmana and also burned down _ the railway stations on the branch line to central Burma. Government forces killed 20 reoeis in a seven-hour battle in the' Myingyan district.
