For Auckland: Mr J. Merritt, Miss P. McDonald.

Messrs W. Spence and W. Clarke left yesterday for Methven when Mr Clarke’s horse, Anthracite, will be racing.

Mr A. Swainson, of the Downer Construction Co., Stockton, is visiting Wellington for the Inter-Island Rugby game.
