Francis Akim Tamiroff, Donald Woods, Louis Colhern and Nazimova. The fateful bridge of San Luis Rey which serves as the starting point for the tale is the scene of the death of five persons. Their tragedy is witnessed by the young priest, Bro. Juniper (Donald Woods) who determines to make a searching study of their lives in order to that way discover the Almighty’s purpose in casting them into eternity at that precise moment. And in a series of skilful flashbacks we fellow him in that quest. He learns of the spectacular rise of the dancer of the streets “The Perichole,” to a position as consort to th e Viceroy. And he learns of love and hate, violence and hypocricy. But in the end he, learns that a man can never really understand the ways of the Almighty, nor his purposes. Regent Shows Ann Sheridan Triumphs in Warner! Bros.' "The Unfaithful." An up-to-the-minute story, packed with, suspense, of a woman who is unfaithful to her absent husband, is the exciting theme of "The- Unfaithful," new Warner Bros, flim drama which is now showing at the Regent Theatre. Ann Sheridan, Lew Ayres and Zachary Scott have co-starring roles in the romantic production with Eve Arden, Jerome Cowan, Steven Geray and John Hoyt in other important characterizat ions. The Alni is based on an original screen play by David Goodis and James Gunn. Max Steiner’s music creates a well-blended melodic background for the fast-moving story. Miss Sheridan’s gowns are sure to draw attention from the female as well as the male filmgoer.
