ATHLETICS New Record
BRUSSELS, Sept 29. The Belgian runner, Reiff, who won the Olympic 10,000 metres, beat the worlds record for 2000 metres by clocking smins 7secs at an athletic meeting tonight. The Swede, Gundar Haegg, held the previous record, smin 11.8 sec., which he set in 1942.
