Union Calls Off Sydney Strike
(Received September 21, 11.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, September 21. The watersiders’ strike in Sydney ended this afternoon. The , men were ordered by their union to report for work to-morrow morning. .EXTREMISTS BEATEN (Rec. 11.50) SYDNEY, Sept. 21. The watersiders’ men agreed to return to work on the pre-strike basis, with the right to refer the dispute to the Board of Reference. Shipping circles consider the settlement is a triumph for the moderate sections of the Waterside Union.
