Australian Premier Against Secret Session of Parliament
(Rec 11.0) CANBERRA, Sept 21 A request was made by the acting leader of the Opposition, Mr Harrison for a secret .session of the 1< ederal Parliament so that Parliament could be informed on the international position. The proposal was rejected by the Prime Minister, Pjt. Hon J. B. Chifley in the House of Representatives today. _ . Mr Chiflev said.—"lt is not advisable to make any public statement at this stage on the break-down Oi the four Power talks on Berlin. He added.—“ There might be -further moves in the l way of taking the question to another place.’’
