JAPAN TO PAY FOR LOOTED PROPERTY

TOKIO, September 20. The Japanese Government has been ordered to restore 10,000,000 United States dollars’ worth of property looted from Allied countries in wartime, including large quantities of rubber, lead and tin from Britain. Part of it is scheduled eventually to be sold by the owner nations to Japan for reconstruction of Japanese economy. An advisory committee, composed of representatives of ~F.E.C. nations has rccmmended the restitutions and General MacArthur has approved.
