“Battle of Britain” Death Roll Twelve

. LONDON, Sept. 19. Squadron-Leader G. W. Curry, Britain's ace Pathfinder during the war, was killed when a Mosquito plane crashed on a farm near Coningsby yesterday. He led the dam-bursting raid on Dortmund Canal. Another man and woman who were injured in the Mansion crash died, making the civilian death-roll 12. Seventeen airmen and civilians were killed and 15 civilians were injured in crashes during Battle of Britain displays at 82 Royal Air Force stations.
